Why Outlier Mentoring? Looking back on my life I have realized that coaching and mentoring adults is what I do the best. Helping adults of all ages unlock and release their passions and belief in young people has been my way of ‘paying forward’ for all those who invested in me during my teen years. Leadership coaching has also been my undeniable niche for ‘putting my faith’ into action. Leadership 1.0 will become ‘one more encore.’
Why now? America has, and always will continue to evolve. I believe that currently there is a void of intentional role models in leadership for young people today to look up to today. The climate of leadership in all sectors of society has morphed into what I believe is an unsure future for our young people.
So instead of standing on the sidelines of society, I decided that it was time for an encore - an encore never imagined in my earlier days.
Why faith-based? I have worked in creating initiatives and organizations for decades and what has lasted through the decades is discipleship. Discipleship became part of my DNA at an early age and my confidence lies in beginning Leadership 1.0 come from the idea that ‘intentional discipleship never ends’
Who are the students we are looking for? I have always believed that I worked best with students with “Mustard Seed faith.” My ability to meet students where they are at and help them reach their potential is what I love to do.
What is the role of our coaching team? Our coaching team will focus on using their creativity and imagination as they respond to the dreams and coaching needs of the students while helping to create bold and unique strategies. Their passion and zeal for teens fulfillment is founded on their visionary zeal and rich history in un -chartered waters.
What will the 2024 encore include? Our coaches confidence and zeal comes from a history that most have been a part of in some way or another over the past decades: Evening Zoo, The Idea Factory, The Clubhouse, local and regional leadership initiatives and initiatives in New York, Jamaica, Mexico, Ocean City, and West Virginia,
